Today’s podcast is titled: Be Honest - If Prayer is so Important, Why Don’t We Pray More?
I think you’d agree, that’s a pretty honest question, isn’t it? Most of us don’t like to admit it but we probably don’t pray as much as we’d like to or at least as much as we think that we should.
Have you ever stopped to think about why that is?
What is prayer and why is it important?
The most basic definition of prayer is “talking and spending time with God.”
God loves this exchange with His children, just as we love the exchange we have with our children. Fellowship with God is the heart of prayer. Too often we lose sight of how simple prayer is supposed to be.
Join us today to discover the greatest impediments to a great prayer life and how to overcome them.

What Does it Mean to Fear the Lord?
If you’re outside of the kingdom and family of God, you need to fear His judgement. God’s power and Holiness are nothing to disdain or disrespect. His word makes the eternal consequences of rejecting His offer of love and forgiveness through His son Jesus Christ very clear.
Okay. So that addresses those that aren’t Christians, what about those that are? Are we told to fear God as well?
Yes. But it’s a different kind of fear.
The fear of God for a child of God, is no longer the fear of judgement and eternal separation from a loving and all-powerful God. It’s reverence and respect for His Holiness, an overwhelming sense of gratefulness for His unconditional love, and the deep desire not to hurt or disappoint Him.
Our love and reverence for God should be more than enough to keep us from sin. But unfortunately, that’s not always the case.
Join us as we take a deeper look into what it means to fear The Lord.

People Are Looking for Answers - The Top Search Trends of 2025
Everyone has questions. Sometimes we share them with others and other times we ask them in private through online searches. Those searches reveal far more than public questions do.
Once you get past the entertainment type of searches, the year's most persistent search themes reveal a society wrestling with authority, truth, identity, and God.
The top search trends of 2025 don’t just indicate individual curiosity; their questions are about a culture they no longer understand or trust. They expose what people fear, what they no longer trust, and what they’re desperately trying to understand in a world that is becoming increasingly unstable.
They’re looking for truth and safety in a world that becomes more divided, hateful and dangerous every day. They are being told that there is no absolute truth. And the only way to stay safe is to join the most vocal, violent and unstable crowd or be subject to their wrath.
In many ways, the modern internet search bar has replaced the position of trust and authority that parents, siblings and mentors once held.
One of the most revealing patterns in 2025 search behavior was the surge in identity-focused and truth-oriented questions. Searches such as What is truth? What defines a woman? Is gender biological? What is marriage for? And “Does truth change over time?” appeared repeatedly throughout the year.
These aren’t superficial questions. They’re foundational civilization questions. The kind societies ask when accepted moral frameworks begin to erode and individuals are left to come up with their own interpretation of truth.
Join us today as we address those foundational questions and concerns with biblical wisdom and answers.

Learning These 5 Love Languages Will Change Your Marriage Forever!
Most people are unaware that specific love languages exist, let alone what those are, or how to use them to convey love to someone you care about. In fact, you may not even know what your own love language is, or why that matters.
Today we’ll discuss one of my favorite books about love and relationships. The concepts apply primarily to marriage relationships but are highly effective with children, and other relationships as well.
The book is written by Dr. Gary Chapman called The Five Love Languages. This book was written in the 1990s, but the concepts are more relevant and important today than ever before.
Chapman’s main idea is that everyone has a primary way of expressing and receiving love, and if those close to us “speak” a different love language, that’s when pain and misunderstandings can arise.
The five love languages are Words of Affirmation, Acts of Service, Receiving Gifts, Quality Time, and Physical Touch. Each of these represent a distinct way that people express and receive love and connect emotionally. Understanding which of these languages resonates most with you, and with those around you, can improve every important relationship that you have.
So grab a cup of coffee and let’s get started!

Today’s podcast is our first Season 2 episode!
Our topic is “What Setting (or not setting) New Year's Resolutions Says About You“.
Did you set any New Year’s resolutions this year? If so, how are you doing sticking to them?
If you chose not to set any, why didn’t you?
I think that most of us would agree that we want to become a better person and achieve greater things in life. And that most likely those aspirations will require us to change in some way to achieve them. They won’t just magically happen. These goals require making a decision, developing a plan and following that plan until you achieve your desired outcome.
And there’s nothing special about a date on the calendar that gives us permission or even the motivation to make these needed changes. The New Year is simply a reminder that we may want to reflect on our life, goals, thinking and habits. And to assess whether these things will help us to become the person that we’d most like to be.
You can start your journey to becoming the best version of yourself whenever you choose. The only thing that’s required is to decide what type of person you want to become and what you want to achieve. Once you’ve made those decisions, you need to develop a plan and then follow it.
Discover how to turn your hope of positive change into a tangible goal that you can achieve!
